Hokkaido Webcams
You folks might remember a little post I did a while back about webcams in Hokkaido. Now, as it turns out, they like to change that page. Often. So I decided, for all of the none of you that will ever use these, to make things a little easier. These aren’t in the order they are on the site, most likely, just the order I care to put them in. Some might, on occasion, be down, but they usually come back up rather quickly.
Downtown Sapporo. This overlooks part of downtown Sapporo between Odori and Sapporo Station.
Odori Park. The heart of downtown Sapporo, home of the Snow Festival and Yosakoi.
Makomanai. The closest you can get to where I’m living. Extreme south of Sapporo.
Hokusei Gakuen University. This is… in the northeastern part of the city, I think… Never made it out that way, not sure.
Spica. Downtown Sapporo again, though a bit to the west. I think this is some sort of media complex.
Mt. Moiwa. Sapporo’s most famous mountain. In the southwestern part of the city.
Teine. Sorta a suburb of Sapporo, on the way to Otaru if you go by train.
Otaru. The canal area, quite hopping in the summer.
Otaru. The canal area, looking the other way. Just as lively in the summer.
Hakodate. Southernmost point on the island. A fair-sized city, though I’ve yet to visit.
Wakkanai. Northernmost point on the island. A… rather small place, I believe. Never made it up that way.
Asahikawa. Middle of Hokkaido, second or third largest city on the island.
Shin-Chitose Airport. Watch the airplanes, whee!
From here we’re getting into places I’ve never been and really have no idea about. I might edit these to contain more info at some point, but I wouldn’t really hold my breath.
And that’s it for now. Click and be amazed, or some such.
